University Sports Medicine is comprised of board-certified physicians that are specialists in their chosen area and maintain faculty status with the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Our orthopaedic surgeons and primary care sports medicine physicians have developed exceptional reputations at the state, national and international levels.

Since 1991, the sports medicine staff has provided cutting-edge health care to a diverse group of athletes at all levels of competition.

We provide sports medicine service to area high schools and academies, Belhaven College, the Mississippi Braves and the Ole Miss athletic department, just to name a few.

All University Sports Medicine athletic trainers are certified nationally and maintain state licensure. The collective efforts of the physician, athletic trainer, physical therapist and others provide comprehensive medical care to the competitive or recreational athlete. University Sports Medicine is the leader in current knowledge and advanced techniques for sports medicine patients in Mississippi and the nation.

How We Serve Our Teams

From the football field at your local middle school to the professional baseball team in Pearl, we offer our athletes a complete range of services on and off the field. Our certified athletic trainers are in the field every day providing support to athletes from the beginning soccer player at youth tournaments in Ridgeland to the football, baseball and soccer stars of tomorrow at our area high schools and academies.

Every Friday night and game-day Saturday, our entire team is out at the local and college football fields helping athletes receive care on the field.

Friday Night Sports Clinic

We are the only sports medicine facility in the area that provides a Friday-night sports clinic for injured athletes during football season. Our local players can receive comprehensive care for their injury without having to wait in a busy emergency room.
